玉琮环形，质青白，沁色较重。外刻饕餮纹，造型抽象夸张，间处雕云雷纹。整器抛光考究，雕刻考究沉稳，功力不凡。玉琮乃古代祭地之器，《周礼·春官·大宗伯》有「以玉作六器，以礼天地四方：以苍璧礼天，以黄琮礼地，以青圭礼东方，以赤璋礼南方，以白琥礼西方，以玄璜礼北方」之载。配木盒，外纹饰与玉琮无二。
