北宋时期因宫廷盛行斗茶之风，建窑黑釉盏尤受推崇，宋徽宗曾盛赞其“最为要用”。宋徽宗在《大观茶论》中称：“盏色贵青黑，玉毫条达者为上。”这种胎体厚重、釉色漆黑的茶盏在宋代颇为流行。拍品盏型较大，口沿微侈，深腹，里外施黑釉，釉汁流淌至底有积釉现象，带有暗暗的银毫与细微开片，修足规整，为典型铁胎，尤为难得。
