耀州窑在唐代就是陶瓷烧制的著名产地，宋代更进一步达到鼎盛，成为我国“宋代六大窑系”之一，是北方青瓷的代表。唐代开始烧制黑釉、白釉、青釉、茶叶末釉等，宋、金以青瓷为主。北宋是耀州的鼎盛时期，据记载且为朝廷烧造“贡瓷”。金、元开始衰落，终于元初。拍品呈斗笠形，内外皆施青釉。内壁暗刻缠枝花卉纹，所饰纹饰深浅有致，花纹清晰，纹样微凸，在青釉的映衬下浓淡相间，具有极好的视觉效果。该碗当为耀州窑鼎盛时期之作，代表了耀州窑刻花青瓷烧造的水平，北京故宫博物院收藏有同类器物，可兹比较。
