The globular teapot is decorated with a c-shaped handle and an s-shaped spout, the body is decorated with two large panels enclosing a pheasant standing on a rock amongst flowers. The handle, spout, and neck are decorated with a flower scroll. The base with a double circle in underglaze blue. The domed cover is similarly decorated with birds and flowers and is surmounted by a lotus bud finial.
Condition: The cover:
It has been broken into three pieces and restuck, with associated losses.
A small frit to the finial.

There are small chips to the spout, rim, and foot.
