The plaque is decorated with an official and his attendant behind him holding a fan. The scene is entitled 'Zheng zhi wu si' which may be translated as 'Upright and selfless' and is accompanied with an inscription further elaborating on the concept. The inscription is dated dinghai year (corresponding to 1947) and signed Liu Xiren.

Condition: The enamels are degraded and discoloured.
An area of glaze pull to the lower edge.
Small chips to the edges possible associated with manufacture.
