Tang (Nakago): Ubu Mumei (Original un-signed), 1 hole.
Length (Nagasa): 25.8 cm.
Width at bottom (Moto-haba): 2.6 cm.
Thickness at bottom (Moto-kasane): 0.55 cm.
Texture of steel (Jitetsu): Itame-hada.
Temper pattern/line (Hamon): Gunome-midare (Irregular round head ) hamon.
Temper pattern at tip (Boshi): O-maru, (Round turn back).Early 19th Century.

This is a knife for Ka-do (Ikebana) made in a traditional sword making method.
Signature is cut on the blade by a sword smith:

Suzuki Ooma Hachiro Harukuni is 7th Generation of Yahata Kitamado Harukuni from Settsu (Osaka).
Habaki: Single silver Habaki.
(Metal collar which encircling the base of the blade).

The Blade is with NBTHK Hozon certification (2000 June 6th).

Mounting (Koshirae): Custom unique wooden mounting.
Fittings: made from deer horn.
Tsuba: Water buffalo horn.
Ornament on Saya (Sya-kanagu): Daruma and feather duster.
Kozuka (handle of small knife): made from Sakudo (copper and gold alloy), Lobster design.
Kogatana (small knife): signed but not readable.
Unique original mounting in good condition.
