Republic PeriodThe rectangular plaque extremely finely enamelled with a detailed mountainous landscape with pavilions and figures, mounted in a carved rosewood frame, with low relief carving of a crane and deer to the reverse.45cm (17 3/4in) high
|Compare with a grisaille-enamelled vase, unsigned and with an apocryphal Qianlong four-character mark, dated 1924-1940, in S. Kwan, Chinese Porcelain of the Republic Period, no. 146, p. 340.
