A white and russet jade 'cicada' snuff bottle


The bottle well hollowed as a cicada with carapace and folded wings finely incised, the underside with legs tucked under the thorax and the abdomen carved with notched ridges, the stone of an even tone with faint russet inclusions. 5.3cm (2 1/8in) high.
