By Gyokudo, Meiji era (1868-1912), late 19th/early 20th centuryA humourous model of a monkey seated atop a stag, one foot pressing against the animal's neck and both hands clutching a rope tied around the stag's left horn, signed beneath one folded foreleg Gyokudo; with a separate wood stand.
