An illuminated firman issued by Prince Muzaffar al-Din, giving sections of certain villages to Lutf’ali Khan, the commander of the Amiriyyeh army.Qajar Persia, dated Ramadan 1303 / July - August 1886.Persian manuscript on paper, text written in six lines of shikasteh script in black ink, interlinear gilt cloudband decoration and interlinear rules in gold, interlinear and marginal explanatory notes in smaller shikasteh script, inner margins ruled in gold, seal impression within an illuminated shamsa and signature of Prince Muzaffar al-Din Qajar within an illuminated serrated leaf above text.48 x 35 cm.
