钤印：元瑞|题识：诗在意远，固不以词语丰约为拘。然开元以後，五言未始不自古诗中流出，虽无穷之意，严有限之字，而视大篇长什，其实一也。如咏闲，则曰“坐歇青松晚，行吟白日长”。状景物，则曰“云霞出海曙，梅柳渡江春”。似此之类，词贵多乎哉？诗话一则书奉大方伯长兄老大人正，芸楣弟彭元瑞。 |简介：彭元瑞（1731-1803），字掌仍，号芸楣，江西南昌人，乾隆二十二年进士，改庶吉士，授编修，官至工部尚书、协办大学士。纪昀为《四库全书》总纂官时，彭元瑞是十个副总裁之一。与蒋士铨合称“江右两名士”。
