|说明：此器系仿照商代晚期礼器铜鼎制作而成，鼎腹为长方形，敞口，平折沿，深腹，平底，两侧立冲天耳，四足外撇，腹部及四角出脊。腹部饰饕餮纹，纹样勾曲回旋，富于变化，显得威严富丽。足跟部饰鳌纹。此器造型规矩，小巧精致，通体鎏金，装饰华贵，陈设于案头，更显尊贵精致。红木盖座，盖上碧玺钮。|原型出自《宣和博古图》著录的文王方鼎。高濂在《遵生八线》评古铜器时说〔方者以飞龙脚文王鼎为上赏〕。此外，明晚期的类书《三才图会》中的〈器用类古器〉中的鼎鼐图像也采用〔文王方鼎〕，都说明了该器在明晚期流行的情况，除了以铜质仿作〈飞龙脚文王方鼎〉之外，在晚明清初还出现不同材质的文王方鼎，如瓷、玉、珐琅等，有的并且仿刻铭文。
