窑变釉最早可追溯至唐宋时期，俗语有“窑变无双”之说。贯耳瓶是窑变釉器物的常用造型之一，自乾隆至清代晚期均有烧造。本品为清代窑变釉贯耳瓶之典型器，其整体釉色比常见作品深沉，更具古朴之气，且保存状态良好，流传至今，实属不易。
