碗微撇口，深腹，碗身重心下移，圈足。碗内髹红漆，碗底髹黑漆，漆层肥厚。碗口沿饰回纹一周，圈足足墙为竹叶纹，碗壁不饰锦地，以牡丹枝叶层层递进，营造出画面纵深立体效果，牡丹或怒放或含苞，周围枝叶层层烘托，绶带鸟飞舞于盛开的花间，身姿灵动优美，观之宛如置身花海之中。此碗纹饰布局繁复，但密而不乱，富有层次。当为明代宫廷剔红之佳作。剔红之艺成熟于宋元，至明清一直繁荣兴盛，其技术、品种也不断丰富完善。此件剔红碗是典型明时期纹样，堆漆厚实，刀法圆润，雕工繁缛、气象华贵可赏可玩。参阅：《中国漆艺二千年》P126 图64
