此对椅以黑漆为地，通体描金饰各色图案，富丽堂皇。扶手椅三屏式，框架上皆识文描金饰饰变体螭龙纹，靠背板描绘缠枝莲花纹，通体纹饰满绘，极尽变化之能事。识文描金是一种极为特殊的漆器。“识”指从平面凸起来的，“文”，指纹饰，故“识文描金”，说的就是在纹饰凸起来的地方描金，是漆器中极为奢侈的工艺。其花纹隐起，呈浅浮雕效果。本品髹亮泽黑漆，将识文描金与彩漆技法相结合绘制，纹饰华丽典雅，饱满丰腴，金光溢彩，美轮美奂，加之工艺精湛，艺术成就较高。
