吕洞宾为道教著名仙人，位列八仙，是道教全真派祖师。此尊头戴纯阳巾，面庞丰肥，双目睁视，表情肃穆。上身内着交领内衣，外穿通肩垂领长衫，双手自然放置于两膝之上。胸前系有背宝剑的长绳，于右肋部打结，富有写实效果。下身脚蹬传统汉靴，倚坐于座位上。整像胎体厚重，金色雅致，人物形象自然写实，带有明代汉地造像的艺术特色，是一尊不可多得的明代道教造像精品。
