A Berlin (KPM) porcelain sang de boeuf (oxblood) glaze and gilt-wire mounted vase by Hermann August Seger (1839-1893), late 19th century, modelled and glazed in the Chinese style and applied en rocaille with gilt-metal wire, Seger and sceptre mark, 17.5cm high
Note: Hermann August Seger was the first director of chemical and technical research department at KPM in Berlin where he developed bodies and techniques in the oriental manner known as Seger porcelain.
