A bronze sutra container (kyôzutsu) of cylindrical shape decorated in engraving with Amida in front of a palace building, flankend by Bodhisattva Kannon and Seishi, Jizô Bosatsu and dragons above waves. Inscription. Gilt but soiled and crusty patina. At the base a double vajra, at the lid the wheel of the law and bonji character. 17th/18th century or earlier. At the base collector's number 297 in white ink.
