An ivory okimono of a young samurai standing with two swords, a folding fan and a sedge hat. Signed Sasazawa Hôkei saku. Minor restorations. Around 1900Sasazawa Hôkei was a member of the Tôkyô chôkokukai (Society of Tokyo carvers), section ivory, from 1906 to 1910.This lot contains materials which require a CITES licence for export outside of the EU contract countries.
