Late Qing/Republic periodThe first a black glazed stoneware ovoid storage jar with a rolled rim and cylindrical neck, the iron-rich glaze of rust color on the inside walls and black with tiny opalescent blue flecks on the exterior that stops short of the unglazed base (minor chips); the second a Shiwan pottery globular jar and cylindrical lid with an uneven bluish-white glaze on the lid, exterior walls and recessed base (chips, soiling on interior from use); and two Chinese dolls with ceramic heads, hands and feet, cotton and silk clothing depicting for a Chinese civil official and his fashionably dressed wife (extensive wear).
