A carved soapstone seal


The boulder carved around the side walls in low relief with a continuous scene depicting sages in remote mountains with bamboo and majestic pine trees rising from dramatic rocks, and a sampan docked by a bank under an overhanging cliff, the underside inscribed 'fu ru Donghai' characters (boundless happiness as deep as the Eastern sea).2 3/4 x 3 x 1in (7 x 7.7 x 2.6cm) approximately
