Late Qing dynastyCut from a larger yardage, mounted to gilt-painted wood bars for hanging, the panel centered with a front-facing, five-clawed dragon and a flaming jewel amid cloud scrolls, framed by four additional spirited, side-facing dragons at corners, each striding through clouds and pursuing a flaming jewel; all against repeating reserves in circular, diamond and star shapes, interlocked by ruyi-form scrolls, and framing flower blossoms and ruyi fungus, intricately forming further geometric patterns. 40 1/2 x 44in (102.8 x 111.8cm)
