Two bamboo carvings


The first a brush pot carved and undercut as Liu Hai standing next to a wine bucket draped with a string of cash hanging above his three-legged toad; the second a teapot in the form of a hollow peach with a pouring hole at its pointed tip, the branch handle and cover carved with further fruit and leaves, an inscription incised into the exterior base bearing an indefinite date Daoguang guiyue (eighth lunar month) and signature possibly reading He Min[long] (age cracks, wear).6 3/4 and 6 1/4in (17 and 16cm) high
