The vase is finely decorated to both sides with panels shaped by acanthus leaves, one side with a lady holding a flower and a boy below a smaller panel of peonies, and to the other side with a further lady and a boy below a panel of roses, all reserved on a blue-enamelled floral ground with a puce-enamelled shou character. The foot decorated with further flowers in puce enamel and iron-red bats.
