A William IV mahogany reclining armchair, circa 1835, the button upholstered and shaped wing back, reclining and the seat rising when leant back against, the sprung seat flanked by padded arms with scroll terminals, on baluster turned and lappet carved tapering legs at the front, terminating in brass caps and castors, this chair is very likely made to a Daw's patent design, 111cm high, 79cm wide, 92cm deep, together with a mezzotint of The Waterloo Heroes Assembled at Apsley House, after John Prescott Knight (1803-1881) and engraved by Charles George Lewis (1808-1880), published 1st October 1845, image size 55.5cm x 87cm, rosewood frame 120cm x 89cm
