|▲||文人东方朔是西汉武帝的侍郎官，常以滑稽的言语，寓讽谏之意，使武帝感悟。相传，一日，东方朔在天上恰逢西王母蟠桃盛会，偷吃蟠桃被擒，然因东方朔言语诙谐，深得西王母所喜，反赐琼浆玉液畅饮而归，是以具有喜感和吉庆长寿之意。此作品中，东方朔秃头、长髯，稍稍弓身，捧桃于手，顽皮、欢喜的心情溢于眼角。
