钤印：向镛私印、五百年后有人知予十万方里随处着墨|题识：梅逢春吐芳，蕙入夏挺秀。各占其时未能乱也。丙子年闰三月气候更移，超山梅三月八九始盛开。余泛舟而往，两岸桃柳，深红浓绿，觉与梅争艶也。比至禅舍，蕙亦花矣。归作此图。吉羊文字斋主向镛并记。 |向镛，字金甫，号蔗公。四川内江人，侨寓杭州。工兰竹、花卉，偶写山水，亦善金石之学。三十年代在上海城隍庙以卖画为生。得秦汉遗法，兼工诗，极负时誉。
