款识：王炳荣作 |带座||作者：《景德镇陶瓷史稿》载，王炳荣，同治、光绪间人，工于雕瓷。《饮流斋说瓷》载：雕瓷之巧者，有陈国治、王炳荣诸人。所作精细中饶有画意，其仿木仿象牙之制，尤极神似。至于仿漆之器，精雕花纹，所涂之釉，又极为似漆，或谓竟髹以漆者。又云：笔筒雕瓷者辄喜仿象牙竹木之釉，所雕花以竹林七贤、东坡赤壁垂杨条马之类为多，良工陈国治、王炳荣颇善斯制。
