A 14th century Fars brass bowl, with interlaced decoration to the rim, the body engraved with oval cartouches with thuluth prayer inscriptions interspersed with rondels containing a seated ruler flanked by attendants, above bands of trefoil palmettes, with several inscriptions relating to previous owner's 'Owned by Ghiath Ad-Din Mohammad bin Hajji Mohammad Mo'men', then part scratched out and replaced with 'ya hafeez' and another 'Owned by Abu Mohsen', originally inlaid with gold and silver, traces of gold and black composition visible, West Iran, Ilkhanid period, 23.5cm diameter.
