Late Edo/early Meiji PeriodMounted as twelve pairs of knives and forks, comprising: a set of six kozuka with insects and floral sprays; a set of four with crustacean; a set of four with boys at play; a set of ten with courtiers in a boat upon a lake; the silver fittings stamped with Sheffield hallmarks for 1870, and with a Galleon and the Latin phrase 'Mina Lucra Pericula'.
