|ProvenanceWith the Royal Exchange Art Gallery, London.Here Wilkinson records the passing of Lusitinia whilst he was aboard S.S. Laurentic. Both ships would befall the same fate off the coast of Ireland during World War I, with Lusitania being sunk by German U-boat torpedo fire in 1915 and S.S. Laurentic sinking after having struck two mines in 1917.
