1999年为纪念徕卡光学技术发明150周年(1850~1999)，特别推出150套极其罕有的M6光学纪念铂金机。每部相机均刻有不同年份，分别配以五款不同镜头，每款镜头套机仅生产30套，比M7钛金版一机三镜的数量还少。此机的纪念年份是1878，配Elmar2.8/50mm镜头(150JahreOptik1878),机身用蜥蜴皮包覆。配有包装证书、木盒、镜头前后盖、遮光罩及机身盖。 机身编号2490029 (M6-1878) 年份1999 成色A-
