A CHINESE CARVED JADE ‘LOTUS’ HANDLED BOWL.Qing Dynasty, 18th to 19th Century.The tall rounded sides rising to an everted rim, from a high spreading foot, the body finely worked as a lotus bloom with overlapping petals, lappets also incised to the foot, the twin handles naturalistically carved and pierced in the form of leafy bamboo stems, a bamboo pod emerging from the centre of the well-hollowed interior, 7cm H, 9cm diameter.Provenance: Collection of Emanuel Snowman (1886 - 1970), thence by descent to a member of the Wartski family.清十八 / 十九世紀 玉雕竹蓮紋盌
