此碗摹仿永宣同类器物而成，始见于乾隆时期，为清宫常备之器皿。其形周正硕大，碗心及外壁以青花绘海水，矾红绘海马、狮、象、翼龙、鱼、龟等海兽，形象生动，颇具动感，其青花鲜妍明快，矾红艳若晚霞，画工精致，状物有神，胎釉温润如新，底书“大清道光年制”六字双行篆书款。
