缂丝是中国丝绸艺术品中的精华。缂丝是一种透经彩纬显现花纹，开成花纹边界，具有犹如雕刻的效果，且富双面立体感的工艺品。此件缂丝作品以不同的颜色织成远山、近水、亭台楼阁等等。孩童们朴实、顽皮，正在嬉戏。画面颜色搭配丰富，场面鲜活，趣意浓浓。配以硬木裱框，适宜悬挂陈设之。宋元以来一直是皇家御用织物之一，常用以织造帝后服饰、御真和摹缂名人书画。因织造过程极其细致，摹缂常胜于原作，而存世精品又极为稀少，常有“一寸缂丝一寸金”和“织中之圣”的盛名。
