观世音菩萨，亦称“观自在菩萨”，为佛教八大菩萨之一。她以大悲大慈的救度之力著称于世。据说，逢难者只要念诵其名号，观音菩萨就会及时出现，救度其苦难，因此被世人广为礼赞和崇敬。观音头束高髻，戴枝蔓缠绕的花冠，正中安置化佛，标志观音菩萨属于莲花部的主尊。菩萨挽高发髻，头戴五叶冠饰，冠饰正中一叶形如弯月，颇具装饰效果。面庞丰圆，眉眼平直，带有慈悲笑容。上身躯体健硕，胸前佩U形璎珞项链，帔帛缓缓绕臂而下。左手当胸，右手结与愿印，两肩饰有盛放的莲花。下身着宽松长裙，结跏趺端坐于莲花座上。整像胎体厚重，材质优良，从其人物造型来看明显汲取了永宣宫廷造像的艺术元素，但细节又带有明代汉地造像的艺术特色，具有极高的艺术价值。
