A MEISSEN TEACUP, circa 1745, painted in puce with a military scene depicting officers and their horses at rest after Georg Philipp Rugendas the Elder (1666-1742), within an elaborate gilt rocaille scroll cartouche edged in puce, scattered blooms in puce to the reverse and interior, the inner rim with a gilt scrollwork border, 4.4cm high, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, gold number 14.
