AN EXTENSIVE ASSEMBLED MEISSEN DINNER SERVICE, late 19th Century, decorated in underglaze-blue with the 'Fels- und Vogel' pattern of a bird in flight over oriental flowers issuing from stylised rockwork, embellished in gilding and iron-red enamel, comprising twenty-four dinner plates, 24cm diameter, eleven reticulated plates (seven embellished with gilding, four with gilding and enamel), 23.5cm diameter, a twin-handled vegetable dish and cover, 33cm wide, two twin-handled sauceboats with integrated stands, 22cm wide, a square shaped serving bowl, 23cm wide, a circular shaped serving bowl, 23.5cm diameter, a large elongated oval platter, 59cm wide, and a graduated set of three oval serving platters, 51cm, 39cm and 33cm wide; together with seven side plates and a small oval serving platter similarly decorated in the Rich Onion pattern, the plates 21cm diameter, the platter 33cm wide, crossed swords marks in underglaze-blue (53)
