|说明：斋戒牌乃古人祭祀前斋戒牌时所佩之物。所谓斋戒，《明史礼志》记载：“戒者，禁止其外；斋者，整齐其内。”清代沿袭明制实行斋戒，清帝及文武官员祭祀时挂于身上，针对不同人员，分别有金、铜、瓷、玉、木、牙等诸种，以作警示用，亦为皇宫贵族佩带之饰品。此件白玉龙凤纹斋戒牌，双面均工，作长方形，边缘随纹饰起伏自然，两面以夔龙、夔凤纹围成的椭圆形开光内，分别以满、汉两种文字饰“斋戒”二字，意指祭祀时戒除嗜欲以示虔诚，等级不凡。
