A late 19th Century mahogany inlaid and satinwood banded secretaire bookcase:, bordered with boxwood and ebony lines, the upper part with a moulded simulated dentil cornice and centred with a marquetry of foliate scrolls and mask, fitted with adjustable shelves enclosed by a pair of astragal glazed panel doors, the lower part having a hinged fall decorated with neo-classical urn and foliage enclosing a fitted interior with small drawers and pigeon holes, the cupboard below enclosed by a pair of doors on bracket feet, 117cm (3ft 10in) wide, 230cm (7ft 6 1/2in) high.
