|《格古要论》云：“有紫定色紫，有黑定色黑如漆，其价高于白定。”可见黑定自古便较白定珍贵；定窑所出产的黑色瓷器质量极佳，但是数量却远少于白瓷，故传世者十分珍贵。此件通体施黑釉，釉色如墨似漆，近足露胎，胎质紧实，釉色稳定、深邃。称为“黑定”，又称“兔毛花”。类似参见《中国陶磁：出光美术馆藏品图录》，东京，1987年，图版107。
