Cooper (inscription).REVOLUTIONARY WAR ISSUE OF THE CONSTITUTIONAL GAZETTE, reprinting a letter from General Gage to Lord Dartmouth on General Washington's concerns regarding the treatment of rebel prisoners, and noting of the Continental Army, "I understand they make war like savages ... The rebels are very numerous and continue to throw up works...." Included is a report from Philadelphia reporting on colonial conditions during the Siege of Boston, and reports of mistreatment of the townspeople by a British soldier. As might be expected, most of the issue is devoted to Continental Army news.
