Pages toned and spotted, dampstaining to upper corners of first 7 leaves and rear endpapers; cover worn with worming.Provenance: Phineas Stebbins (1737-1837, ownership signature to front free endpaper).SECOND EDITION of the publication of the constitutions of the states of the 13 original colonies and the Declaration of Independence, LIKELY USED BY STEBBINS AS A REFERENCE DURING THE MASSACHUSETTS RATIFICATION CONVENTION, at which he was a delegate from Wilbraham in January of 1788. Interestingly, Stebbins voted "no" on ratification.
