|Provenance: The jars, Property of Major L.F. Hay, Sotheby's, Lot 143.Major Lindsay Fitzgerald Hay (1891-1946), of Bath, was one of the first generation collectors of Imperial Chinese porcelain in the early 20th century. Sales of his collection were held at Sotheby's in June 1939, and June 1946.
