The dial and frame by Amant, Paris, circa 1700, the spring driven movement English circa 1900Strapped bell over four tall baluster finials on turned columns and toupie feet, the central pierced fret engraved with a Green Man mask over the 1.75 inch Roman chapter ring framing the foliate engraved centre with alarm-setting disc and signature, now with additional minute hand (hour probably original), the twin fusee movement with anchor escapement and rack strike on the bell 34cms (13.5ins) high.
