the dial signed James Spelling, Londonthe hood with moulded cornice and pierced sound grill above a pair of plain brass mounted columns, the trunk with panelled door above a plinth base, the 12" brass dial with silvered Roman chapter ring with outer Arabic five minute track, the sanded centre with ring turned winding holes, subsidiary seconds below twelve and date aperture above six, the brass twin train movement striking on a bell, with pendulum and two weights, 216cm high overall
