Lucien Frank (1857-1920)Girl on the dunes Oil on panel signed 'L. Frank' at lower right. A painter of landscapes, seascapes, urban views and figures, he used both pastels and watercolours. He worked in Brussels and Paris, where he exhibited from 1886 onwards. A student of C. Daubigny, he was also advised by E. Manet on his impressionist landscapes of the Belgian coast, France, and Holland, which he painted freely with luminist colours. Under glass and matted in a giltwood frame. - 15 x 23.5 cm- -
