Two Cantonese porcelain plates: - The smaller one shows two long-tailed peacock like birds (one pink, one blue) in a garden of flowers, under colorful butterflies and songbirds. 8 white windows show scenes of: fruit, flowers, and butterflies. D: 8 5/8" (21.9cm) - The larger plate has a thick gold rim that is absolutely teeming with butterflies of the same species and white `windows` full of pink flowers. The well of the plate shows these same flowers and butterflies set in a bundle against a white background, with a thin band of similarly colored flowers sitting between it and the gold. D: 9 5/8" (24.8cm) Condition: both in good condition with expected enamel wear
