Description
Translation provided by Youdao
A set of seven interlocking bronze seals of various sizes depicting a mother Guardian-Lion and 6 cubs. Each of the six cubs is removable. Certain smaller cubs lock the other ones into place. The underside of all seven pieces (including the mother) has a carved enamel stamp which can be pressed against an ink-pad and used. The set displays outstanding attention to detail in the gestures, expressions, interactions between each of the characters, as well as the surface details of each. The ball in the mother Shisa`s raised claw has captured the attention of several of the cubs. That ball, as well as the one in her nearest cub`s moth rotates in place. The pupils of the mother`s eyes also move in place when that seal is moved. H.5 1/2in.(14cm), W.4 3/8in.(11cm) Condition: in good condition with expected patina on the surface level of the bronze
