Worcester teapot ,18th C,of spherical form, painted in'Mandarin' pattern with a group of male figures greeting one another on one side, and on the other with a lady peering in the direction of a man seated at a window, each scene framed by elaborate scrollwork, flowers and foliage, the slightly-domed over applied with leaves and a floral-form knop. H. 6 1/4 in.(15.9cm) Provenance: Property of a retired professor of Art History and his wife; Aprial 25,2000 Sotheby's Condition: some chips to spout , minor scratches to decoration, cover with restoration.
